GRID* @ CBC and GRID* @ Park Lane are coming together too celebrate the many successes and achievements of our members.

The GRID* Business Gem Awards will be held on September 23rd 2009!! 

Venue: The Studio - Bradford Alhambra
Time:   6.45pm for a prompt 7.15pm start

The evening will include a sit down buffet, guest speakers, entertainment, networking and of course an awards ceremony!

The Categories are:

GRID* Ambassador 2009 - This must be a member that has gone above and beyond too pass on the GRID* message and/or somebody who always aims to help the GRID* in anyway possible.

Most Exciting Business Idea - We are looking for a business that has come up with an idea for a new business, business growth and development or even a great idea to help overcome the difficulties in the current climate.

Business Adviser of The Year - This is a great opportunity for all GRID* members to let us know who has helped, advised and inspired you the most!!

Networker of the Year - To qualify for this category all you need to do is NETWORK! We are looking for a member who is always connecting people, this can be to themselves, GRID*, GRID* members or even to business advisers.

Outstanding Achievement 2009 - We would like to know about any businesses or individuals who have overcome the challenges they have faced and against all odds succeeded in what they set out to do.

GRID* Business of The Year 2009 - I think the title says it all....

This is a workshop designed & delivered specifically for women looking to increase their confidence and/or motivation to deal with the challenges they are facing in their life, their career or in the development of their business.

 

The introductory workshop is being run by Litsa Daouti of Positive Soul - and is being offered to fellow, female GRID members for just £10. The workshop will last for 2 hours and will focus on what barriers you may be trying to overcome and will help you look at creative ways in which you can deal with and overcome these barriers to achieving your life, career or business aspirations!

Cultural Adaptation workshop

Cultural Adaptation is a free Kickstart workshop aimed at business start-ups in the UK, exploring the process of setting up own business in the UK, taking into account various UK specific aspects as well at the general new business problematic. It’s a practical workshop dealing issues like business vision, barriers, confidence, goal setting, impact on community, cultural aspects and UK specific elements. Participants receive a workbook with templates for future use and there will be plenty of time for discussion and peer-assist activities.

The Grid Business Networking Lunch will take place on Wednesday July 8th at 12.30pm - 2pm.

GRID* @ CBC - June 10th BNL review

For those of you who couldn't make it to this months BNL, you missed out!

John and I decided to try hosting the BNL in the GRID* and we are very please to let you know that it worked VERY well. Both members and guests were networking easily, some very good relationships have formed and key referrals were made.
