Bradford GRID* are just one of the organisations working closely with 'Young Enterprise' to help involve businesses in the programme in Bradford
Become part of an exciting, enjoyable and rewarding enterprise experience through volunteering for Young Enterprise, the UK’s leading business and education charity. The active involvement of volunteers from business and the local community make a real difference to the lives and potential of young people in your area. Volunteering gains access to free training, develops your skills alongside the young people and highlights your commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
Volunteers’ enthusiasm, knowledge and real-life experiences enrich Young Enterprise’s unique enterprise learning programmes, helping students (aged 5 – 25) understand the world of work and prepare for their futures. There is no previous experience or expert knowledge required. You will receive a volunteer pack, training and ongoing support.
The time commitment varies depending on the event. Some involve an hour of your time, others run over a full or half-day, and others involve mentoring a group over one academic year. Further information can be found at www.yeyh.org.uk <http://www.yeyh.org.uk/> .
There are many volunteering opportunities across the Bradford district as Young Enterprise have been commissioned to lead the young people's element of Bradford Council’s Kickstart Programme by promoting, supporting and co-ordinating enterprise activity within Bradford schools and colleges. Please contact Liz for further information, or an informal chat about how YOU may be able to get involved.
Members of the GRID* have already been involved in the masterclasses as well as the Bradford Kickstart £10 challenge and have already found the experience really rewarding!
